We couldn’t have asked for a better real estate agent than Sonya. She was always quick to respond, no matter the time or question, and stayed on top of every detail throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond for us in ways we truly appreciated. Not only is she incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but she’s also so friendly and easy to talk to. She made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home.

We had been searching for over a year and ran into bidding wars that we were not in a rush to join in on or properties listed that were sold either before or the same day they were listed. Being that we were a nine-hour drive away, we couldn’t compete with anyone who could get there sooner to purchase. We had worked or tried to work, with a couple of other popular local agents in Murphy NC, who were seemingly too busy and not as helpful to our circumstances of not being local, so just the fact that we found someone who cared enough to help us was a milestone. We had contacted Appalachian on a property that due to the honesty of Joey, ended up not being what we ultimately were searching for. After patiently listening to what we were in fact looking for, Joey informed us that Sonya had a new listing that would be just what may fit our needs. Once we started the process of ultimately purchasing a home that was just beginning to be built, Sonya was always attentive to answer any and all questions simple and/or complex, to us or to the builder back to us, in a manner that is very rare to find now a days. Typically, we would receive an answer from Sonya within an hour or sooner. (Yes, really!) Our kind of client service for sure. Five stars! Everything that was advised, written or promised, was met or exceeded by both Sonya and our builder, which she coordinated us through. Sonya’s professionalism was top shelf, her attitude was down to earth, caring and pleasant and her communication was stellar, clear and to the point. All in all, she helped our process of both buying and building to be a positive and almost enjoyable process, of one which is typically stressful. Thank-you Sonya (and Joey) for all your help to make a dream a reality. We would highly recommend Sonya or Joey to anyone serious about purchasing or selling a home.

Sonya worked with us for more than a year to find our perfect home. She was tireless. We were able to text and call her 24/7 and always received a prompt response. She worked to understand what we wanted and found us several houses that suited our needs. We moved into our new house in August and couldn’t be happier.

I recently sold a tract of land in Cherokee County, N.C. through Joey Reid at Appalachian Land Company. I chose Joey only after researching other Realtors in the area. He certainly lived up to my expectations and handled my listing both honestly and professionally. Both he and his assistant Connie kept me informed along the way although I live in another state.
